The Wagon Mound High School E-Sports team were presented with their State Championship trophy, banner, and medals today by Mr. Dusty Young from New Mexico Activities Association. The team were District champions in Rocket League earlier in the season and when team points were calculated for the State Championship, it was down to the wire. Coach Erwin Baca was informed early in the morning on Saturday, April 20th that WMHS E-Sports team earned enough points to be the 1A State Champs. This is the first time a state champion has been crowned in Class 1A for E-Sports. Congratulations to the E-Sports team and Coach Baca! Wagon Mound Public Schools is very proud of you all!
